Victoria Fenton

Functional Medicine Consultant, Naturopath & Nutritionist

Qualified in Functional Medicine, Nutrition, Naturopathy, Metabolic & Functional Diagnostics, Psychology and Counselling with training from The Kresser Institute, Metabolic Fitness, The Nutrition School and the International Association of NLP. I specialise in complex digestive and GI health, immune dysregulation and autoimmune conditions. I have a particular interest in providing both physical healing tools, along with emotional and psychological support - dealing extensively with psycho-neuro-endocrine-immunology. My aim is to provide a rounded and holistic healing approach for my clients. I am a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine (US) and The Federation for Nutritional Therapy Practitioners (UK).

As is typical within Functional Medicine, my training in healthcare began due to a personal health crisis which occurred when I was 17.  With no solutions forthcoming from conventional medicine, I embarked on a lengthy journey into studying every element of human physiology and psychology, understanding the role that each of these played in healthcare.

For almost 15 years I have both studied and personally experimented with numerous health and wellbeing systems, therapies and approaches in order to heal myself.  After studying nutrition, biochemistry, naturopathy, psychology and counselling, I finally found a home within the approach of Functional Medicine: a systems-based approach to healthcare which identifies the root cause for symptoms and disease, understanding the networked interrelationship of the body’s systems.

My area of special interest is in challenging digestive issues: healing both the gut AND the relationship with food and nutrition. I also deal extensively with immune dysregulation and autoimmune illnesses, particularly those with a genetic component.

My goal is to help my clients discover the reasons behind their health challenges and use nutritional, psychological and emotional coaching to support them in their recovery.  During this process, I help my clients to understand their health history, and to find confidence and security within their bodies, their decisions, their nutritional choices and their lives – establishing their wellbeing whilst simultaneously encouraging them to trust in their bodies, in themselves and in their ability to become, and remain, healthy.
